The process of the rhinoplasty

Post operative period

Every patient stays at the clinic till the next day and then after being examined by doctor is sent to home care. After nose rhinoplasty 4-5 days of tamponade is obligatory so as outer plaster splint that is attached to the nose for 2 weeks. Breathing has to be done through mouth because of the tamponade. After the tamponade is removed patient have to clean out his nose every 2 hours with the use of nasal sticks but can not spruce. After the plaster splint is removed pressure massage is recommended so as a visit at the doctor.
 

Possible complications of nose rhinoplasty

As with every surgery also Rhinoplasty brings some risks that can occur during it. However, very few cases were reported so far.

This is the list of possible complications of nose rhinoplasty:

  • Swelling – are common when Rhinoplasty is performed on a patient with hard nose bone.
  • Blood clots.
  • Bleeding – bleeding can occur either right after the surgery so as few days after it. The need for another surgery is however very rare.
  • Infection – appear very rarely because antibiotics are used.
  • Skin problems – sometimes when the temperature fluctuates skin perfusion is poor.
  • Feeling of cold, decreased sensitivity – these symptoms will wear away in a year.
  • Deterioration of smell – this complication appears rarely.
  • Scarring - inner part of the nose.
  • Other complications from the aesthetics view.
