Postoperative period

In case of minor facelift surgery the patient is sent to homecare the same day. In case of major face lift one day hospitalization is required. After then compression massages are recommended because they decrease swelling and provide more comfortable feeling. Drains are inserted into the wound and these are removed on the 2-3rd day after the surgery. Return to normal life circle is possible after a month but every case is individual.

Complications related to facelift

Complications like infection or major bleeding are very rare. They are decreased to minimum by antibiotics and proper postoperative care which means obeying of recommendations and instructions of the surgeon.
