About hair transplant – indication, contraindication, complication
- Indications – basic indication for hair transplant is classic androgynous alopecia, we also have good experience with transplantation of hair into scars after burns or actinotherapies.
- Contraindications – diseased condition connected with protein catabolism, hemocoagulation parasitism and other conditions above this message, relative contraindication is an age under 20, and the upper limit is 79.
- Complications - within 13 years hair transplant has been preformed, only 5 clients met more significant complications. It was a necrosis caused by ischemia; we noticed one allergic reaction on ATB and few times appeared in the back of the scull.
Description of hair transplant
- The client gets an accommodation at the hotel part of the plastic surgery premises before his hair transplant. At the hotel he spends one night. Before the surgery we evaluate his current health condition and he gets sedatives and perorally wide-spectrum antibiotics.
- A giver’s section prepared by a friseur is mostly anesthetized with a solution Marcainu with Poor eventually with adrenaline. It is suitable to clarify a course of neuro-vascular palpation.
- Then we install a physiologic liquid in hypodermis, where the hair transplant is made, and we take off dermatic scions with hair follicles circa 4mm diameter, maximally in three rows vertically.
- Obtained hair transplant are kept in cooled physiologic liquid and they are splitted into miniscios that include 2-4 hair follicles and microscios with 1-2 follicles.
- We needle the seam in the donor’s section using a monofilament continuous stitch behind rise of a fine sinusoidal suture.
Strategy of hair transplantation

- A very significant step is to determine a frontal line of hair transplant and set a general strategy of location of transferred scios. Then comes into play a local anaesthesia for an area of hair transplantation and it is impregnated by a physiologic liquid.
- By hand we excise cylindrical excises of skin in 1-2 diemeter and we extract the tissue. We input hair transplants in these small excises, into first frontal lines we put microscios, then proximally miniscios. In the frontal lines of hair transplants we can minimize a distance between the scios circa to 1mm, in the central part is this diameter increasing to 2-3 mm to preserve vitality.
- The whole area of hair transplants is covered by hydrophilic gel and a pressure bandage is applied. The client spends one night by us in this state. Next morning we perform a station of hair transplant and the client leaves the clinic without any bandage.
Time period for hair transplantation
The whole process of hair transplantation takes 2-4 hours in our conditions according to difficulty of surgery. An operational time is for a certainty spanned over thanks to applied anaesthetics. It is surprisingly painless before and after a surgery. Anyway the client receives analgesics and sedatives.
